I live about an hour away from New Haven, so it was a trek getting to Capture for me. I was in the area to visit Ikea, and decided to get my hair done the same day. I was very pleased and impressed with the service at Capture. My stylist was Hector, and he really knew what he was doing. He listened to what I wanted and gave me one of my favorite haircuts I've ever gotten. My mom got her hair done with me the same day. Her stylist was Vanessa, who she liked a lot. Her hair also looks great. I would definitely recommend Capture. The atmosphere was inviting and the service is excellent!

The salon is luxurious and incredibly convenient for me (my office is on the top floor of the building). My go-to stylist is Hector for hair and makeup. I always leave feeling amazing! About 2 days after my last appointment, I was on a plane in Seattle and the woman next to me said, "I've been staring at your hair the entire flight, your highlights are beautiful!" About 2 weeks after that I was in Dunkin' Donuts grabbing a coffee and the gal behind the counter said, "Your hair is gorgeous!" Thanks Hector and everyone at Capture for such beautiful hair and great experiences at your salon!

The salon is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is friendly and professional. Alex cut my hair today. She spent a lot of time with me talking about various options that would work with my type of hair and my ability to style it--I am very low maintenance type of woman. The result is a very cute, modern short cut that I love. Alex is the best! It is a treat to go to Capture Salon.

I absolutely love this salon. First of all the facility is immaculate! It has such a tasteful and soothing design. I enjoy watching the beta fish swim in their bowls while my hair is being cut, and I love that the stylists always offer water of coffee before we get started. I see Jenna and she is phenomenal! She takes the time to get to know me as a person, and she has a passion for what she does. I completely trust her to cut and style my hair perfectly every time. I also was very impressed when I learned from her that Capture Salon does monthly workshops for their employees where someone is brought in to share a new skill/technique to add to the skill set of the already very experienced staff. Overall I have loved my experience at this salon, and I love Jenna's work and passion. The 10% student discount is certainly a perk!

Everyone that works here is so nice and professional. I wanted to go short like a pixie and I have curly hair. So I was nervous. But my stylist, Ann, made me feel really comfortable, she got me some water, we chatted, and we really discussed exactly what I wanted. She explained everything and it came out perfect! Edit: September 2019: I went back and got another haircut from Lisa and I love it!!! Even shorter this time :)

Thank you to Alex and to everyone at Capture Salon! I love going to Capture to have my hair done. I have curly hair that doesn’t always “behave”… and can be difficult to manage. A good cut by a talented stylist is so important to me. Thank you to Alex and to everyone at Capture for always helping me look my best!

All of the staff were really nice and Lisa did such an awesome job on my haircut/ style . I have thin hair and in the past I never seem to really find a cut that I really love but thanks to Lisa now I can say I have. She did an awesome job, I will be back.!!

I was here last October to get a blowout. They accommodated me on a short notice, literally an hour before they closed for the day. My stylist Ann was wonderful and did a great job of styling my hair in a way that it stays intact for a wedding the next morning. I forgot my jacket at the salon and Donna, the owner, was nice enough to mail it back to me on her own dime because I was visiting from out of town and they were closed on the following day. Thank you for taking such good care of a new non-local client 🥲

I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. I had a hot chocolate and a small packet of cookies while I was waiting. Then Alex gave me a spectacularly beautiful haircut! I liked it so much, Í asked her to take a picture. I left extremely happy (and the look has lasted)!
